Stoeger is part of the Benelli family, and it shows in the M3000 semi-auto, which uses an inertia-driven action similar to its more expensive cousins at a fraction of the price. The P3000 is the pump version. Both are aimed at buyers who want Benelli-adjacent reliability without the Benelli price, and the M3000 in particular is a strong value in a defensive semi-auto.

The Benelli M4 is the semi-auto shotgun adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps, and it carries a reputation for running in the worst conditions. Step up to the Mossberg 500/590 or the Remington 870 when you want the deeper aftermarket and a more refined gun, and let the safety layout and feel in your hands break the tie between them.
